Daniel Klaus
Letter of Introduction
The Lord has called our family to New York City. It is our goal to see churches established and encouraged. Just as Barnabas, Timothy, and Titus assisted Paul in urban evangelism and church planting, it is our desire to help church planters in New York. During the months of July and August, we will be working with the New York Summer Evangelism Team—NYSET. This team was founded by evangelist Doug Lowery in 2003. As NYSET members, we will work with fundamental, independent, Bible-believing churches throughout the greater New York City area assisting in evangelism and work projects. Daniel traveled with the first NYSET team in 2004, and we worked as a family with the 2008 team.
After graduating from Ambassador Baptist College in May of 2008, Daniel began working as an assistant to Pastor Paul Hoover at Souls Harbor Baptist Church in Milwaukee, WI. While there, we have served in the music, evangelism, and teen ministries. The Lord has taught us much about urban ministry during this time, and has increased our burden to go back to NYC.
New York City is known for density and diversity. It is the most densely populated major city in the United States, with a population of 8,274,527! There is an average of 170 different languages spoken; and, about 40% of the population was born outside of the United States. We believe that by going to this great city, we can begin reaching the world!
We are very excited to begin our ministry to which the Lord has called us, and would like to ask you and your church to help us by investing in our ministry prayerfully and financially. We would love the opportunity to present our ministry to your church. If you have any questions about is or our ministry, please feel free to give us a call. We would love to talk with you! God bless you and your ministry!
Sincerely,
The Klaus family
I Corinthians 4:2
Daniel’s Testimony
I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. Even though I was raised by godly parents, I did not always desire to live for the Lord or do the right thing. When I was seven years old, our church went to a special meeting held in Milwaukee. That night God got a hold of my heart and showed me the direction that I was headed. I quit fighting God, gave Him my heart and was saved. Several years later, I followed the Lord in baptism, and joined Mukwonago Baptist Church. As I reached my teen years, God began to work on my heart about full-time ministry. He gave me the desire to preach and witness for Him. I yielded my life to God to let Him do with it whatever He desired. The Lord led me to Ambassador Baptist College in North Carolina, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies.
Maggy’s Testimony
I feel very privileged to have grown up in a Christian home. I was saved on Easter Sunday, 1996. It was then that I truly understood what Christ did for me on the cross and that I only had to accept His free gift of salvation. I surrendered my life to the Lord to serve Him and was baptized a year later at Mukwonago Baptist Church. I graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in May, 2005 with a degree in Church Music. I now have the blessing of working with my husband at Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church, Milwaukee, WI. I am able to serve in the nursery, teen group, and music ministries.
